Mr. Porter was a pedestrian walking in the roadway when he was struck by Ms. Reeves’ vehicle at approximately 5:39 a.m.
After thorough review of the evidence presented by the state and Mr. Allen, the charges against Ms. Reeves were dismissed. Following the dismissal of all charges, Mr. Allen issued the following statement:
“While the loss of Mr. Porter’s life was tragic, we are pleased that we were able to establish Ms. Reeves’ complete innocence of all charges. The evidence clearly indicated that Ms. Reeves was innocent, and justice required that she be cleared and exonerated of all charges. Her sympathy continues to be with Mr. Porter’s family.”
